Born and brought up in Helston, I was always surrounded by art and crafts as well as the natural and raw beauty of the landscape. I am now living back in West Cornwall, having spent many years living and teaching in Dorset,

I am a former art and ICT teacher, but now as a photographer I also work with mixed media, combining photographic images with painting techniques as well as in the digital darkroom.

As a keen surfer, much of my work is strongly influenced by the sea, coast and harbours of the West Country. I am also interested in architecture, old buildings, machinery and the industrial past of Cornwall. I always have my camera with me and frequently find interesting images in the ordinary and overlooked.
